The conceptualisation of this work started with many shades of red – female force was on my mind. One morning the force spilled off the canvas. The catzy and doggo pawed the studio and the canvas with turquoise. Huh!
Of course, in the hindsight it seems all so organic, but it did not happen with such clarity or smoothness. It never does. It was debilitating. The canvas had no interest in her force, but in her spill. The spill caused by one particular romance. The one story I did not want to tell, birthed many short stories, and they all found in me the space to tell themselves. A star crossed romance between a woman and the house with an open mansard roof, mirror speckled pillars, and one blue wall.

KunjanMendake.art has a 7 days lead time on all unframed orders.
Due to the custom nature of framed pieces, please allow 15-20 days for production of framed pieces and an additional 7-15 business days for delivery. International orders for large format framed pieces may be a 7-10 days longer.
Once your artwork is framed and packed, it takes two days before being shipped.
We employ professional framers, packers, shippers and handlers on all orders and only handle our prints with white gloves. While occasional damage by courier company in transit is out of our control, we are happy to work with you to resolve any damage that does occur. However, damage in transit is relatively rare.
You will receive a tracking number via email once your piece has shipped.
